For research into the creation of my website on schools i looked into the website of some of my local school which include Queensbury upper school's site (http://www.qusonline.com/) and Manshead upper school's site(http://www.mansheadschool.co.uk/).
I found using these quite usful as i can refer to these sites for idea on things like how to layout my site.

Research and Planning
The first thing i must do for my coursework is:
- To find appropriate research into similar product
- Find a potential target audience.
- Create a logo for campaigen.
- Take some photographs of the school.
- Organise the homepage of website
- Time management
Media Studies Foundation Portfolio Brief
I will be producing a media artefact where i will be carrying out two two tasks from my chosen brief. The brief i have chosen is Website as from the four briefs (Print, Video, Audio, Website) as i feel most comfortable with this brief.
The Preliminary Exercise includes making a homepage for a school. this will include a photo of the institution, buttons to provide easy navigation to other areas of the site and appropriate welcoming text. There should also be a working hyperlink to a media department page, also with photo. the task aims to demonstrate understanding of the software and of webpage conventions.
The Main Task is to create a campaign website including sound and video for a campaign (ep political, health, charity, enviromental). The site will include a logo, original photographs, (minimum of four per candidate), written text, audio, video and easy navigation. if done as a group task, each member of the group to produce at least four pages for the site, following the same house style.
