Talking sense about sex.
It's not a very good website in terms of availibity as you have you go looking for it to be able to find it. Its a very mature site as it looks very formal. It looks like its aim more at the parents of sexual active teens or the older generation who have questions about the things that happen as a result of a relationship whether it be a good or bad one.
For an example if your in a abusive relationship or have been sexually assulted than it offers information on where you are able to get the help it is that you need.
It has a variaty of information that is availible to you about STI's and the contraception.

Research on Sites related to My Main Task (teen pregnancy)
Available sites include:
- Stand up Girl is an American site its a very good example of the type of campaign i want to create it has many similar features that I'd like to include in my campaign too for example 24hr hotlines that you can contact to seek out help on a one to one basis, a blog page about other teen mums,an inside view on a few thing such as pregnancy symptoms and alot of information on things like what will happen in each month of your pregnancy. It helps girl who are pregnant, their partners and those around them e.g. friends to understand more about what it is that happens when having a baby.
- Teenpregnancy.org is an non-profitable organization. Their goal is to educate humanity about the individual soul's right to life in order to fulfill its divine plan. Its a charity to who try get girls to choose an alternatives to abortion.
- The NHS offer information on all things surrounding pregnancy from finding out if you are pregnant to aftercare and what the vital thing for a baby are.
- Brook is a local support team that helps those under 25 that is free and confidential. Their there to hlep stop unplanned pregnancy from happening they go to upper schools and give free contraception to those who need it.

Time Management
In order to get my Main Task finished by the Deadline I made a Plan:
While doing all these things I'll always be gathering information which will help me in the long run with my campaign. As i am making the video audio and written content myself the website will be copy-right free entirely.
- Research in areas the same as my main task and write notes to help me with my written content. DONE BY12/12/11
- Create a Logo for my Campaign.DONE BY 08/11/11

- Create a navigation bar which would make it easy to get around the website.DONE BY14/11/11

In Dunstable there are many charity shops that help the less fortunate for an example Oxfam,Y M C A,Age UK, British Heart Foundation and the Salvation Army.
to get some insight on what other charity website are like i first look at these. I noticed that all of these charities have .org.uk at the end of there sites web addresses this means that they are organisation.

Website Research
For research into the creation of my website on schools i looked into the website of some of my local school which include Queensbury upper school's site (http://www.qusonline.com/) and Manshead upper school's site(http://www.mansheadschool.co.uk/).

Research and Planning
The first thing i must do for my coursework is:
- To find appropriate research into similar product
- Find a potential target audience.
- Create a logo for campaigen.
- Take some photographs of the school.
- Organise the homepage of website
- Time management
Media Studies Foundation Portfolio Brief
I will be producing a media artefact where i will be carrying out two two tasks from my chosen brief. The brief i have chosen is Website as from the four briefs (Print, Video, Audio, Website) as i feel most comfortable with this brief.
The Preliminary Exercise includes making a homepage for a school. this will include a photo of the institution, buttons to provide easy navigation to other areas of the site and appropriate welcoming text. There should also be a working hyperlink to a media department page, also with photo. the task aims to demonstrate understanding of the software and of webpage conventions.
The Main Task is to create a campaign website including sound and video for a campaign (ep political, health, charity, enviromental). The site will include a logo, original photographs, (minimum of four per candidate), written text, audio, video and easy navigation. if done as a group task, each member of the group to produce at least four pages for the site, following the same house style.
